People will bless HD Kumaraswamy in 2018 poll: HD Deve Gowda
Bengaluru: Hoping to revive his party after it was rocked by rebellion, JD (S) partriarch H.D. Deve Gowda on Saturday asserted that people would bless his son H.D. Kumaraswamy, who has been elected the CM candidate.
He told the media here that both Mr Kumaraswamy and himself would tour the state next month to rebuild the party. “I will constitute three teams after consulting Mr Kumaraswamy. We will tour all 30 districts. We are down but not out,” he added.
When his attention was drawn to Mr Kumaraswamy’s statement that the next Assembly elections would be his last, he said “Such a situation will not arise. I hope people will bless him,” he added. Mr Gowda lambasted the state government.
“This government has totally failed to administer. Home Guards have not got salary for four months. Then, you take the agriculture sector. They have stopped giving crop loss compensation. A committee was constituted to look into the issue. I am not sure whether it exists or not," he added.
