Naidu continues to act against TS: Harish Rao
Hyderabad: Irrigation minister T. Harish Rao alleged that AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was continuing with his “anti-Telangana agenda” by complaining to the Centre against the construction of the Kaleshwaram project.
Mr Harish Rao was speaking after inspecting work at the Mallannasagar project, a part of the Kaleshwaram project, on Saturday in Akkaram in Gajwel mandal, of Medak district. “Telangana state has a share of 965 tmc ft of water in the Godavari. Telangana state has every right to utilise its share. The government is constructing projects on the Godavari to utilise its share completely,” he said.
“What problem does Chandrababu have if we construct projects to utilise our water share? What loss would AP suffer,” he said. Mr Harish Rao asked whether Mr Naidu would stop construction of the Polavaram project in AP because Odisha had complained with the Centre against the dam.
