Rahul Gandhi to visit Osmania varsity on May 7: Revanth
HYDERABAD: AICC leader Rahul Gandhi will visit Osmania University on May 7, TPCC president Revanth Reddy said here on Saturday. He urged the university vice chancellor to make arrangements for Gandhi to interact with the students.
“The TPCC urged Rahul to visit Osmania University, once the epicentre of the Telangana movement. To protect the interests of Telangana state, we invited Rahul on a two-day visit on May 6 and 7 in Warangal and Hyderabad,” he said.
Revanth Reddy alleged that several irregularities were taking place in medical colleges owned by ministers Malla Reddy and Puvvada Ajay. The Medical Council should hold inspections in both colleges.
Revanth said private universities owned by TRS leaders Palla Rajeshwar, minister Malla Reddy were indulging in irregularities. He said he would quit politics if what he said was proven to be a lie.
The TPCC president alleged that Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao were playing a political game over the paddy procurement issue. “Farmers should not be made a scapegoat in this political game. Why did the paddy procurement issue come up only in Telangana state,” he asked.
“The chief minister failed to give compensation to the Delhi farmers as was promised by him. The TRS misrule seriously affected the cultivation of millets,” he said.
