Propaganda affecting Andhra Pradesh BJP, says Daggubati Purandeswari

She alleged that all other political parties used Ambedkar for political gains during elections.

Guntur: Former Union minister and BJP leader, Daggubati Purandeswari said that BJP’s image is being tarnished in AP due to negative propaganda in the state despite allotting huge funds, projects and schemes. She said BJP did not own any channel or newspaper in AP and asked BJP leaders and activists to fight against the false propaganda. She claimed that AP government did not submit any Detailed Project Report (DPR) to the Union government about new capital Amaravati but the BJP government allotted Rs 2,000 crore funds for it.

Ms Purandeswari, former minister and BJP senior leader, Kanna Lakshminarayana, MLA, Akula Satyanarayana and other BJP leaders addressed the BJP district meeting on Saturday at Guntur. Addressing the meeting, Ms Purandeswari recalled that the BJP national president Amit Shah had categorically explained about sanctioning of Rs 1.40 lakh crore funds to AP in the past 20 months but some forces are trying to blame which is very sad and continuing the false propaganda about absence of funds to AP.

She added that BJP government is ready to sanction the required funds to Polavaram national project but the TD-led state government did not give reports of fund expenditures given by the Union government. Ms Purandeswari stated that the Union government had recently launched the National Agriculture Market (NAM), an e-platform for farmers to get the best possible price for their produce under the new marketing system and alleged that five markets from Telangana were linked to the NAM, but no market from AP was linked so far which shows the negligence of the AP government.

She claimed that BJP is the only political party which is respecting B.R. Ambedkar by conferring Bharat Ratna during the government of A.B. Vajpayee and celebrating 125 birth anniversary celebration during the present Narendra Modi rule. She alleged that all other political parties used Ambedkar for political gains during elections.
