Delhi leaders didn't deny me appointment: Siddaramaiah
KALABURAGI: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah dismissed reports that central leaders of Congress had denied him an appointment to discuss about reshuffle of the ministry, forcing him to cancel his visit to New Delhi on Saturday.
During an interaction with the media here, he said: “I don’t know why these rumours are being spread. They are hundred per cent false. I think they are being spread by detractors with a view to malign me. I am going to reshuffle my cabinet, let there be no ambiguity about it. I have not been able to visit Delhi due to the drought in the state. I was supposed to go to Delhi to attend a conference, but I have deputed the law minister as I am going to tour drought affected areas of Belagavi and other districts.” He said he would visit Delhi in the first week of May to seek the approval of top leaders for a rejig of his ministry.
