MLC Kavitha to launch missed call campaign for Women's Reservation Bill

Hyderabad: Bharat Jagruthi founder and BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Friday announced the launch of the 'missed call campaign" in support of Women's Reservations Bill. She also announced plans to launch nation-wide programmes demanding that the Centre introduce and pass the Bill to provide 33 per cent reservations for women in Parliament and state legislative assemblies.

Kavitha on March 10 had sat on a day-long hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and held a round table meeting with MPs from Opposition parties, representatives of civil society organisations, activists and students in Delhi on March 15, demanding passage of the Women's Reservations Bill.

Kavitha on Friday launched a poster on her official social media handles, demanding tabling and passing of the Bill.

The campaign will have a round table discussions at colleges and universities, she said.
