Malkajgiri, Chevella, Secunderabad seats are KT Rama Rao top priority

The TRS won in Chevella but MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy recently defected and is contesting on a Congress ticket.

Hyderabad: TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao will concentrate on three important and high-visibility Lok Sabha constituencies for the April 11 elections — Malkajgiri, Secunderabad and Chevella. All three are located in the capital or on the outskirts.

In 2014, the Telugu Desam had won the Malkajgiri LS seat and the BJP, Secunderabad. The TRS won in Chevella but MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy recently defected and is contesting on a Congress ticket.

The TRS has fielded fresh candidates for these seats to take on senior Opposition leaders and will require a lot of support from Mr Rama Rao.

Instead of holding public meetings, Mr Rama Rao wants to conduct road shows which are more effective. He may start the road shows from March 30.
