K Kavitha owns assets to the tune of Rs 7.63 crore

According to her affidavit, Ms Kavitha faces two criminal cases booked at Nizamabad and Mahbubnagar.

Hyderabad: TRS MP K. Kavitha has 14.4 acres gifted to her by her father, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, according to the affidavit she filed with her nomination papers for the Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat. She said she owned assets worth Rs 7.63 crore and her husband Anil Kumar, a businessman, Rs 9.73 crore. There is a substantial increase in the annual income of Ms Kavitha.

She said Mr Rao had gifted her 10 acres and 16 guntas in Survey No. 108 located in Malleboinapally, Jadcharla, and 4 acres and 24 guntas in Appannapally, Edira, both in Mahbubnagar district. The land together has a market value of `1.2 crore.

According to her affidavit, Ms Kavitha faces two criminal cases booked at Nizamabad and Mahbubnagar. With Rs 1.90 lakh cash in hand, Ms Kavitha has movable assets worth Rs 2.08 crore which includes gold and diamonds. Her immovable properties increased from Rs 2.08 crore in 2014 to Rs 5.5 crore in 2019. The properties include commercial space in Jade Arcade, MG Road, Madhapur, a flat in Banjara Hills.

An increase was also seen in the assets of Mr Anil Kumar, whose cash in hand and deposits were declared at `6.76 crore and properties valued at Rs 2.97 crore.

Mr Anil Kumar has liabilities of `6 crore and Ms Kavitha has loans of Rs 2.27 crore.
