Madurai: AIADMK MLA M V Karuppaiah left spectators across the state awestruck with an unusual attempt in wishing Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa on her birthday. Leaving behind the tried and tested methods of birthday wishes, the leader chose to do something different for the chief minister. He floated on the pool with an AIADMK flag in his mouth for 48 minutes.

The adherent from the Sholavandan Assembly constituency, sporting an Amma T-shirt, went to the government swimming pool near Gandhi Museum in Madurai on Tuesday, and performed a special ‘Jalapradakshnam’ for the well-being of the adulated chief minister.

Earlier in the year 2014, taking after a similar fashion, the MLA had floated in a well in his constituency for almost half-a-day when the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister was behind the bars.

One might be wonderstruck by such a form of veneration; however, this isn’t an isolated event as people across the state are taking to different methods in order to wish the Chief Minister.
