Centre Will Act Against KCR on Graft: Nadda

BJP chief warns of action against Kalvakuntla family for graft

NIZAMABAD: BJP national president J.P. Nadda on Thursday called on the Telangana electorate to opt for the BJP to better their state and free it from the clutches of the allegedly corrupt familial rule.

“We will initiate action against the graft charges of the BRS government. Misrule and high level of corruption by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao plunged Telangana into a debt trap from the status of being richest state,” he charged.

Participating in Sakala Janula Vijaya Sankalpa Sabha meetings in Nizamabad and Sangareddy, Nadda accused Rao of forgetting the sacrifices made by hundreds of youths for a separate Telangana.

“At the time of state formation, Telangana was the richest state, with a surplus budget. Now, it is totally debt ridden due to the family-centric rule. The BJP is the only party that can fight against family rule, not only in Telangana but across the country — Farooq and Mufti families in Jammu and Kashmir, Prakash Singh Badal family in Punjab, Chautala family in Haryana, Lalu family in Bihar, Akhilesh family in Uttar Pradesh, Karunanidhi family in Tamil Nadu, Mamata family in West Bengal, Jagan family in Andhra Pradesh and the KCR family in Telangana,” the BJP chief said.

Reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s catchphrase of ‘Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas’, Nadda said that Telangana ranked highest in inflation and that funds released by the Centre were not being used for the purpose they were meant.

“Chief Minister KCR is appeasing one section with four per cent reservation and now, they are promising to make it 12 per cent. We will remove the religion-based reservations and extend them to those who deserve it. Dharani Portal became ‘Harani’ portal, grabbing lands of farmers,” he said.

“Pillars of Medigadda, part of '1.2 lakh-crore Kaleshwaram project, sunk due to corruption and even in Dalit Bandhu, MLAs sought 30 per cent commission,” he said.

“There is also the Miyapur land scam, in which crores of rupees were collected,” said Nadda.

The BJP president said that India transformed into the fifth-largest economy in the world under the leadership of Modi and was progressing towards becoming the third-biggest economy.

Listing out the BJP’s sops, he said: “We have already announced the establishment of a turmeric board. Now, the processing units will also come up. '2 lakh will be deposited soon after the birth of a girl child. SHGs will be offered loans at one per cent interest. Vote for BJP for all-round development and to change the face of Telangana for better,” he said.
