TPCC appoints coordinators for state-wide stir against TRS govt

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), which has decided to launch state-wide agitation programmes from November 24 on a broad range of issues, including the TRS government's land policies, the Dharani portal, the Podu land issue, and the extension of benefits to tenant farmers, has appointed coordinators for each district.

PCC working president B Mahesh Kumar Goud announced that the agitation will be meticulously planned by coordinators in 32 districts other than Hyderabad. He stated that the Congress will hold protests in front of mandal revenue offices across Telangana on November 24 as part of the protests. On November 30, Congress will hold a dharna in each of the Assembly constituencies, followed by a dharna at District Collectorates on December 5. "We are attempting to highlight the problems and sufferings of the farming community and land issues under TRS and BJP's draconian rule," he said.

Uttam Kumar Reddy (Nalgonda), former minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir (Kamareddy), MLA D. Sridhar Babu (Jayashankar Bhoopalpally), former minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah (Jangaon), MLA T. Jagga Reddy (Sangareddy), former deputy CM C. Damodar Narasimha (Medak), former minister J. Geetha Reddy (Siddipet), former minister K. Jana Reddy (Yadadri-Bhongir), former Union minister Renuka Chowdary (Bhadradri-Kothagudem) and other leaders will be coordinating the state-wide agitation programmes to make it a success.
