BJP to go to people with New Karnataka' vision
Bengaluru: The BJP, which is going all out to woo voters in the run-up to the 2018 assembly poll with its Nava Karnataka Nirmana Parivarthana Rally planned for between November 1 and January 14 across the state, has decided to not only focus on the “misdeeds” of the ruling Congress, but also present its own vision for a “new Karnataka” during this time.
“We will present our vision for a new Karnataka at public meetings and get feedback from the people on it. While going on our Parivarthana rally we need to convince people about the BJP's vision for the state over the next five years,” explained party general secretary and former Minister, C.T. Ravi. Party national president, Amit Shah had during his recent visit to the state, advised BJP leaders here to prepare a vision for a new Karnataka covering all sectors like roads, irrigation, agriculture, revenue, RDPR, health and social sector to present to the people. The rally will see four to five workers from every booth join it on motorcycles along the way and mega public rallies in every Assembly segment, according to party sources. Leaders from other parties too could be inducted into the BJP during this time, they reveal. The party state leadership has already instructed the district units to induct other party leaders with much fanfare in keeping with Mr Shah’s reported strategy to gain as much publicity out of this as possible. Meanwhile, all effort is being made to get Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address the Parivarthana rally, sources reveal.
The BJP has demanded a public apology from CM Siddaramaiah for registering “false cases” against their state president, B.S.Yeddyurappa. Welcoming the high court staying the FIR registered against Mr Yeddyurappa, party spokesman G. Madhusudhan claimed that this had “exposed the dirty political tricks of the ruling Congress to tarnish the BJP’s image.”
