MK Stalin accuses AIADMK of marring industrial climate

He also recalled that already the World Bank report had put Tamil Nadu in the 18th place in industrial climate.

Chennai: Alleging that the AIADMK (Amma) government had disrupted the industrial climate in the state, DMK working president M. K. Stalin on Saturday appealed to people support his party’s efforts to mobilise the people and rescue the state.

Despite Tamil Nadu having all the facilities and opportunities for industrial growth, the industrial climate is not conducive for the last six years due to the maladministration and corruption by the AIADMK government.

Citing the NCAER report, he said Tamil Nadu had plummeted to the 17th place in conducive atmosphere for industrial growth, Stalin said the state had fallen back in many factors including land, infrastructure, labour, economic conditions, administration and political stability.

He also recalled that already the World Bank report had put Tamil Nadu in the 18th place in industrial climate.

He said the state was a friend of industrialists during the DMK regime and it was a state which gave industrial clearance quickly to new industries. Under the DMK regime, industries were set up from Poonamalee to Sriperumbudur and from Pallavaram to Maraimalai Nagar, besides Madhya Kailash to Sholinganallur, he
said.

The DMK alone had the capability to rescue the state from the decline and take the economy and industrial growth along a progressive path to generate employment.
