Bengaluru: In the few weeks since Deputy Chief Minister, Dr G. Parameshwar has taken charge of the city with key portfolios of Home and Bengaluru Development, the amiable politico's personal touch has been un-mistakeable.
The first was when he invited people to tweet him on the ills that plague the city.
The second is a picture that will tug at the heart strings of dog-lovers citywide, after the BBMP's wrong-headed attempt to draw attention away from its disastrous management of the city - and its neglect of strays - by attempting to limit the number of pets.
Dr. G's tweet reads: "Pets are part of the family! Here is a picture very special to me. With our Great Dane who passed away recently. By all popular demand, the #BBMP has withdrawn the pet dog licencing bylaws. Let's celebrate by sharing our favourite photos! #NammaPets"
