Poll results will see change of guard in Tamil Nadu: M. K. Stalin

What we have been expecting will happen tomorrow.

Chennai: The results of the general elections that will be announced on Thursday will see Congress president Rahul Gandhi anointed as Prime Minister while at the State level, there will be a change of guard, DMK president M. K. Stalin has said.

"What we have been expecting will happen tomorrow. Rahul Gandhi will become the Prime Minister and those who have been asking me why I had allowed the AIADMK government to continue in power post Jayalalithaa, will get a reply," Stalin said while speaking at an Ifthar hosted by Tamil Maanila Desiya League here on Wednesday evening.

"After the results are announced, I may have to go to Delhi on Thursday evening or Friday," he said indicating on the government formation by the UPA.

Stalin who slammed the exit polls predicting an impressive victory for the BJP-led NDA government, said the exit polls are stage managed and cannot be construed as genuine. "What counts is the verdict delivered by the people and not by those who make predictions sitting in their offices," the DMK leader said.
