BDJS pats on its own shoulder, to stay with BJP
Alappuzha: After an impressive performance in vote share in the debut assembly poll, the Bharat Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) held a review meeting in Cherthala on Sunday. Its president Thushar Vellappally said the party made strides on all 37 seats contested. It decided to continue its alliance with the BJP.
The party will organise demonstrations independently and as part of NDA on the social justice plank. "There is nothing to worry about losing all seats which we contested. It’s time to expand our base at the grassroots. The future works will focus on the booth-level party building. New working plans will be chalked out. Social justice would be the prime slogan," he said.
"Our party is in fact in infancy," he said. Mancheri Bhaskara Pillai and Akkeramon Kalidasa Bhattathiri, vice-presidents, and T. V. Babu Subhash Vasu and A. G. Thankappan also attended the meeting.
