Yuva Morcha district president Dinil Dinesh resigns
Thiruvananthapuram: After rampant factionalism in the state BJP leadership, now problems galore in Yuva Morcha as well where Ernakulam district president Dinil Dinesh has quit. This just days away when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the valedictory session of the ABVP state meet in Thrissur on Sunday.
The three-day long state meet of the Yuva Morcha is scheduled to start at Thrissur on Friday. Party sources claimed that Dinil was unhappy with the state leadership after his decision to nominate Arun Kodanad as district secretary was quashed by the district leadership. Dinil reportedly handed over his resignation to Yuva Morcha state president Prakash Babu and BJP Ernakulam district president N. K. Moha-ndas. The latter had alleg-edly challenged Dinil citing that he will not agree to the appointment of Arun. Dinil was actively taking part in Yuva Mor-cha’s programmes and on few occasions he was ba-dly injured in the recent Sabarimala protests.
“Due to some reasons, I have quit from the post of Ernakulam district president of the Yuva Morcha. I will remain as an ordinary worker”, said Dinil in his Facebook post.
The decision by Dinil to quit from the Yuva Morcha’s role has given the district and state BJP leadership huge embarrassment. BJP state general secretary M. T. Ramesh who is the in-charge of Yuva Morcha told DC that the issue is not at all a serious one.
“The issue of Dinil will be settled soon. There is no politics in his resignation and it was just an ego clash with few of his colleagues”, said Ramesh.
He added that Modi will be attending a massive rally on Sunday which would see more than three lakh Yuva Morcha workers taking part in the public rally at Thekkinkadu grounds at Thrissur.
Modi will also be inaugurating the Integrated Refinery Expansion Project at Kochi Refinery on Sunday.
