Congress Leader VH Slams Uttam Over Amberpet Ticket Issue

Rao said, Uttam promoting his follower Nuthi Srinivas Goud for the Amberpet seat

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao accused Nalgonda MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy of conspiring to push him out of the Congress by denying him a ticket from Amberpet.

Rao recalled that he had won from Amberpet and had become a minister. He had also contested twice more. “Amberpet belongs to me,” Rao claimed.

Uttam Kumar Reddy, who sits on the screening committee, that selects candidates, was promoting his follower Nuthi Srinivas Goud for the seat, Rao alleged. He said Goud had filed false cases against him earlier.

Rao alleged that the MP had forced his followers Aleti Maheshwar Reddy and Gudur Narayan Reddy to leave the Congress; they later joined the BJP.
