Congress, TRS claim victory is certain

TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress would win with a margin of 30,000 votes.

Hyderabad: Both the Congress and the TRS claimed victory in the forthcoming Huzurnagar byelection. TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress would win with a margin of 30,000 votes.

He alleged that the TRS had given the ticket to a person who belong-ed to Andhra region. CLP leader Bhatti Vikra-marka said the Congr-ess’ victory was certain.

“All democratic forces should vote for the Congress to save democracy in Telangana,” he said.

Meanwhile, power minister G. Jagadish Reddy said that the TRS candidate Saidi Reddy would win and added that in the assembly polls, he lost by a small margin. He also pointed out that the TRS’ strength had increased in Huzurnagar compared to the previous assembly elections.

While the minister alleged that Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy did nothing for the development of Huzurnagar, the latter alleged that the TRS did nothing for it.
