CPI and CPM fume at BRS

The BRS could not have won the Munugodu Assembly poll without having a truck with us

Hyderabad: Stumped by the BRS Left parties — CPI and CPM — on Tuesday asserted that they will work for the defeat of the party. “The BRS will lose four to five per cent of the votes in the entire state,” said CPI state secretary Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao.

However, differences between Left parties showed up when CPM state secretary Tammineni Sambasiva Rao took a stand that the BRS wanted to maintain equidistance between alliances.

Asserting that the Left’s alliance with the BRS was for the larger good of the country, the CPM said they could halt the BJP. “The BRS could not have won the Munugodu Assembly poll without having a truck with us. That would have allowed the BJP to have a free run after they won the by polls and performed well in the GHMC,” Tammineni Sambasiva Rao added.
