Kannur MP K Sudhakaran threatens cops

Sudhakaran said that the KSU can counter the police action anywhere in the state and alleged that the police were creating bloodshed.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kannur MP K. Sudhakaran has threatened to strike back if the police continue to attack the KSU activists who are agitating against the SFI malpractices in the University College.

"If the police carry out a vendetta against the KSU leaders, there will be serious consequences. The police without uniforms are like any other ordinary people," Sudhakaran said while addressing a KSU meeting before the secretariat where KSU state president K. M. Abhijith is on an indefinite fast demanding a judicial probe into the answer paper leakage from the Public Service Commission and an end to the SFI violence in the University College.

Sudhakaran said that the KSU can counter the police action anywhere in the state and alleged that the police were creating bloodshed. "Even the KSU women leaders were not spared by the police," he said.

He asked the police not to blindly obey the words of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan "who lacks a humane face." He also hit out against LDF convener A. Vijayaraghavan saying he is "good for nothing."

Abhijith also flayed Vijayaraghavan's comments against the fishermen and for saying that the University College incident was an isolated issue. In a Facebook post, he said that the KSU will not be cowed down by Pinarayi's threats.

Meanwhile, A. A. Rahim, DYFI state secretary, alleged that Sudhakaran's challenge was an instigation for violence.
