KS Eshwarappa: People fed up with coalition blame-game

The alliance was forged between JD(S) and Congress only to keep BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa from coming to power again.

SHIVAMOGGA: BJP leader K.S. Eshwarappa on Friday remarked that the JD(S)-Congress coalition government is nothing but an arrangement made to "betray" each other.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Eshwarappa asked, "Who defeated Mr Deve Gowda, in the Tumakuru Lok Sabha seat?" Deve Gowda himself had pointed fingers at Congress leaders for his defeat to BJP nominee G.S. Basavaraj while Congress leaders blame JD(S) leaders for the defeat of the JDS-Congress nominee for Mysuru seat C.H. Vijayashankar, he recalled.

The alliance was forged between JD(S) and Congress only to keep BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa from coming to power again in the state, said Mr Eshwarappa.

Fed up with the constant blame-game between the coalition partners, people of the state want Yeddyurappa to return as CM, he said. He welcomed the statement of Mr Deve Gowda on the bickering between the coalition partners and said the feelings expressed by Mr Gowda are similar to the sentiments of people of the state.
