Pinarayi Vijayan confirms on threat to Modi
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday confirmed that there was threat to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent visit to Kochi to inaugurate Kochi Metro.
The chief minister was reacting to questions on DGP T.P. Senkumar’s statement on Tuesday about a terror module during the prime minister’s visit. “Yes there was threat to the Prime Minister. On the same day we were told about the threat. But they had not given out further details. There was a specific problem on that day," he said.
When asked about his reaction on BJP state president Kummanam Rjashekharan entering the metro train in violation of protocol , he said; “You people have written and discussed much about it. I don't wish to become party to it now.”
On the state police chief’s statement that certain extremist elements had sneaked into Puthuvypeen agitation, the chief said he did not want to go into those details.
