Pawan Kalyan teaches Jana Sena cadre how to thank the voters

Kalyan said that serving the people by living with them was the Jana Sena’s way of showing gratitude to the people.

Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief K. Pawan Kalyan on Sunday stated that change had begun in AP and the process needed to be continued.

He was speaking to party candidates in the April 11 elections at the party office at Mangalagiri, after causing a minor scare by keeping the building shut for a couple of days.

Mr Kalyan said the YCR Congress was claiming that it would get 120 of the 175 seats in the Assembly, while the Telugu Desam too was making calculations. But the Jana Sena would not do that.

“I just asked the party leaders about the pattern of voting. Every change begins slowly. It’s the growth stage for the JS and we can’t predict what will be the impact of the change,” he said.

He said that serving the people by living with them was the Jana Sena’s way of showing gratitude to the people. He called upon young candidates to mingle with the people and serve them even after the elections.

Teaching activists how to thank the people, Mr Kalyan said, “Keep aside an entire day and visit every village to express your gratitude to those who helped you during the election. At the same time, you must identify local issues and lay stress on getting them resolved. Working on solving people’s problems is real gratitude. If the problem is bigger, then I will join you,” he said.

He advised party candidates to identify leaders from the grassroot level in the same way that he had selected them. The people of Telangana were also welcoming change, he said.
