Future CM Nara Lokesh' query upsets Yanamala Ramakrishnudu

He said the TD did not want YSRC MLAs to join the party.

KAKINADA: Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu expressed displeasure over scribes here on Thursday when they raised a question about the likelihood of TD national general secretary Nara Lokesh becoming the chief minister in future.

“At present, it is irrelevant and immaterial to raise such questions.” When the reporters asked him that many of the MLAs and ministers favoured Lokesh as the future CM candidate, Mr Yanamala said that anybody could become the chief minister.

“Even Ramana (Boddu Venkata Ramana- a reporter of a local paper) can become the chief minister,” he said sarcastically. Speaking on the YSRC, Mr Yanamala said that there was a possibility of ‘split’ in the YSRC as the MLAs are not able to bear with the party chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy due to his lack of knowledge on political affairs or behaving as a good Opposition leader in the Assembly.” He said the TD did not want YSRC MLAs to join the party.

“CM N. Chandrababu Naidu has asked people to join the TD. In response to his call, many YSRC MLAs have joined the TD. Half of the YSRC MLAs would shift their loyalties and Jagan may lose his status of Opposition leader as the party might get split,” he predicted. In the future, the YSRC MLAs would rip Jagan of all his posts.”

The illegal assets cases are also haunting Mr Jagan. He said that Mr Jagan had no knowledge of politics and that he is an immature politician. He always wants to create hurdles for development of the state which is on crisis in the aftermath of bifurcation.

Jagan created obstacles in the way of Pattiseema project which will benefit to Krishna and Rayalaseema areas including Kadapa district also.” The Polavaram project got delayed due to the Congress rule. However Rs 5,000 crore would be spent for the project.

Mentioning the growth of the state, he said that Andhra Pradesh achieved 10.9 per cent growth and it is aimed at achieving 15 per cent by the end of the financial year. He said that the chief minister N.Chandrababu’s dream that achieving 'double digit’ growth has been achieved.
