Mr Nethakani had contested in the recent Assembly elections from Chennur as a Congress candidate and had lost.
Hyderabad: TRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao released his party’s Lok Sabha candidates’ list on Thursday. Four sitting members of Parliament were replaced by fresh candidates. The sitting MPs who were replaced are Mahbubnagar’s A.P. Jithendar Reddy, Khammam’s Ponguleti Srini-vasa Reddy, Nalgonda’s Gutta Sukhender Reddy and Mahbubabad’s Sitaram Naik.
Venkatesh Nethakani, who joined the TRS from the Congress just a few hours before, was immediately rewarded with the Peddapalli Lok Sabha seat. Mr Nethakani had contested in the recent Assembly elections from Chennur as a Congress candidate and had lost.
