Visakhapatnam: Jana Sena chief and film actor Konidala Pawan Kalyan owns assets amounting to Rs 52 crore, according to the data he filed along with his nomination papers from the Gajuwaka Assembly constituency in Visakhapatnam district on Thursday.
Mr Kalyan has movable assets worth Rs 12.04 crore and immovable assets of Rs 40.81 crore.
The papers state that the children of Mr Kalyan and and his now divorced wife Renu Desai are richer than his wife Anna Lezhneva.
Ms Lezhneva has movable assets of Rs 30.5 lakh whereas his sons K. Akira and K. Aadya have assets of Rs 1.51 crore and Rs 1.04 crore.
Mr Kalyan has 312 grams of gold, diamonds, and platinum. The affidavit says Mr Kalyan owns a Mercedes-Benz R-class R350, Volvo XC90, Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail.
Apart from these he owns a Mahindra Scorpio, Skoda Rapid, and Toyota Fortuner. He owns three parcels of agricultural land in Shankarpally mandal near Hyderabad and non-agricultural land in various places in Hyderabad and in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.
The total value of immovable assets is Rs 40.81 crore.
Mr Kalyan has borrowed Rs 33.72 crore, including Rs 2.4 crore from film director Trivikram Srinivas.
According to the affidavit, Mr Kalyan has completed his Class X from St Joseph’s English Medium High School in Nellore.
The Jana Sena chief has paid income-tax of Rs 15.28 crore in 2016-17 — the highest in previous five years — and Rs 9.60 crore in In 2017-18. He has income tax dues of Rs 34.42 lakh.
