Youth congress leader C R Mahesh revolts against Rahul Gandhi
KOLLAM: Referring to the recent Congress poll debacle in Assembly elections, Youth Congress state vice-president C.R. Mahesh has openly rebelled against AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi for his failure to lead the party. In a Facebook post, he opined that Mr Gandhi should quit if he is not interested in leading the party. Terming Congress leader A.K. Antony as 'Mauni Baba', Mr Mahesh lashed out against the group fights in state politics. The leadership of a “great” organisation has taken the failure lightly, reminding us of ‘Nero of Rome’, he said.
“The KPCC is without a leader for the past two weeks. The organisation that should lead protests against the administrative failure of the LDF and the BJP is silent. The leadership is also enjoying group fights by fractionising the KSU by giving group memberships even before KSU memberships at a time of KSU elections. Seeing this, A.K. Antony who helped the growth of KSU, continues in Delhi as Mauni Baba,” Mr Mahesh alleged. Around 80 per cent of the KSU memberships claimed by NSU leadership in Kerala, are fake memberships shown to grab power. The foolish election reforms will result only in clashes between people believing in same ideology, Mr Mahesh said on the KSU organisational elections and the group war by the Congress leaders.
