TD leader blames Vamsi for violence in Gannavaram

KAKINADA: Senior TD leader and Rajamahendravaram Rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary has expressed his indignation over the violence in Gannavaram and blamed the local MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi for creating such situations.

He alleged that the ruling YSRC and chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy wanted to finish off TD chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The incidents at Gannavaram pointed to that, he said.

The MLA told the media at Rajamahendravaram on Tuesday that the YSRC cadres attacked the TD office, set fire to its offices and attacked the party leaders present there. But, the police filed cases against the TD leaders and let off the culprits, he said.

“If Chandrababu Naidu gives us permission, we will surround Vallabhaneni Vamsi with an army of 10,000 TD cadres and teach him a lesson,’’ he said.

He demanded that the CM should reveal which party Vamsi belonged to. “The YSRC leaders, in particular Lakshmi Parvathi, are playing cheap politics even after the death of NTR’s grandson Taraka Ratna. Factionist violence has increased during the YSRC rule,” he said.
