No Sasikala audience for Tamil Nadu ministers
Bengaluru: A day after AIADMK Deputy General Secretary T. T. V. Dinakaran met jailed AIADMK leader Sasikala at the Parappana Agrahara central prison, three ministers tried to meet Sasikala on Tuesday. However, the prison authorities refused to allow them to meet her.
Sources said that ministers K. A. Sengottaiyan, K. Raju and one more minister had come to the city around 2.30 pm. “They checked into a hotel on Hosur Road while their assistants approached the prison officials seeking permission for the ministers to meet Sasikala,” a prison official said.
However, as there are certain conditions on the number of people to be allowed to meet a convict, we denied them the permission. As they were not allowed to meet their leader, they left the city around 5 pm,” the official added. It is also learnt that Sasikala did not want to meet the ministers either. “She has informed jail officials to not let anyone, except her family members and advocates, to meet her. This was also considered while denying them the permission,” the official added.''
