BAINSA (NIRMAL): TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said a wave in favour of the Congress was quite visible among the people and expressed the confidence that the party would sweep the 10 Assembly seats in the old Adilabad district.

Speaking to a large gathering at Bhainsa in Nirmal, Mr Reddy said the people had decided to vote against the TRS as it has failed to fulfil the promises it had made. He said the TRS and caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had cheated all sections of the people including Dalits, tribals and BCs.

Mr Reddy said the Congress would offer Rs 7,000 per quintal of cotton by giving bonus in addition to the Centre’s MSP. He reeled out the promises and schemes the Congress would implement if it came to power.

The party government would pay Rs 10,000 to chilli and turmeric farmers. The party would constitute a committee for the welfare of the farmers.

Mr Reddy said the party would give top priority to recruiting 1 lakh youth in addition to creation of jobs in private sector for unemployed youth.
