K T Rama Rao dares Congress to move court on defections

Rao said people will laugh at Congress leaders if they say that the TRS has no respect for democratic values.

Hyderabad: Information technology and industries minister K.T. Rama Rao lashed out at Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, MLA, Congress party, for his allegation that the TRS had no respect for values of democracy.

Responding to comments by Mr Reddy that the TRS allowed 12 Congress MLAs into their party and even given Cabinet berths to some of them, Mr Rao said people will laugh at Congress leaders if they say that the TRS has no respect for democratic values.

Asking Bhatti Vikram-arka, CLP leader, to listen to him, the minister said that during the Assembly term 2004 to 2009, when the TRS had won 26 MLAs, but the Congress had lured 10 of them to defect. He also said that just two days ago, the Congress in Rajasthan had merged BSP MLAs into its unit. He dared the Congress leaders to go to court against the merger of 12 Congress MLAs into the TRS.
