BJP will celebrate September 17 as Vimochana Day after coming to power: Shah
Shah said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao despite making promises to celebrate the day officially, has not done so
MUNUGODE: Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday declared that once the BJP came to power in Telangana, it would celebrate September 17 as ‘Telangana Vimochana Day’. Addressing the BJP public meeting at Munugode, Shah said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao despite making promises to celebrate the day officially, has not done so.
“I am here to remind you that Sardar Vallabhai Patel freed Telangana ending the excesses of the Razakars. KCR is afraid of Majlis (AIMIM) and does not celebrate the Vimochana Day. But do not worry. After the next elections, it will be our CM, and every September 17, we will celebrate Telangana Vimochana Day,” he said amidst loud cheers from the crowd.
