Thiruvananthapuram: Veteran CPM leader V.S. Achuthanandan on Wednesday justified his letter to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan asking him to reconsider the decision to remove Susheela Bhat, senior Government Pleader (Revenue).
When asked about the letter he told media persons here that Susheela Bhat was an efficient lawyer: “She has always protected the interests of the state government,” he said while expressing his displeasure over her removal from the post.
In his letter to Chief Minister, the veteran CPM leader had cautioned the government that Bhat’s removal could adversely affect the cases handled by her. She was arguing many cases pertaining to encroachment of government land by plantation companies.
