Varahi Yatra enters Konaseema, PK woos Muslims

KAKINADA: The Varahi Yatra, taken up by Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, started at Annavaram on June 14 and entered the Dr BR Ambedkar district on Tuesday night. Pawan Kalyan left Kakinada by Tuesday evening and entered Mummidivaram assembly constituency with a massive rally.

The followers of Jana Sena raised slogans in favour of Pawan Kalyan. Jana Sena Mummidivaram constituency incharge Pithani Balakrishna accorded a grand welcome to Pawan Kalyan at Yanam road.

PK greeted his followers but did not give any speech at the main junctions along the way. He would address a rally at Mummidivaram on Wednesday.

Earlier, the actor-turned-politician interacted with the Muslim community in Kakinada. “If the Jana Sena comes to power, the living conditions of Muslims would be improved. When Pakistan bifurcated from India, many Hindus were harassed and killed in Pakistan. In India, Muslims and Hindus are cooperating with each other as Hindus feel Muslims are their brothers,” PK said.

Pawan Kalyan said he intends to restore the old glory to Urdu. He urged Muslims to back him in his attempt to win power in AP.

Earlier, Pawan Kalyan wished President Droupadi Murmu on her birthday.
