Pawan's Jana Vani gets good response in AP

AP government has resolved 50 per cent of the 3,100 petitions received in Jana Vani

VIJAYAWADA: Pawan Kalyan-led Jana Sena’s Jana Vani programme to redress public grievances has received an overwhelming response in several parts of Andhra Pradesh. About 3,100 petitions have been received at these programmes since July 2022. Nearly 50 per cent of these have been resolved with support from the state government.

As part of its mass contact programme to find out the grievances of people and resolve them by taking them to notice of the state government, JS started the Jana Vani programme in July 2022. It has conducted the programme twice in Vijayawada, Bhimavaram, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam.

A majority of petitions received at Jana Vani programmes deal with issues of land grabbing, harassment of SC and ST communities, lack of proper amenities and bad roads. The complaints received relate to 28 departments.

The Jana Sena has set up a system that studies each petition thoroughly and decides how to redress them. The petitions are sent with a cover letter signed by JS chief Pawan Kalyan to the secretary of the government department concerned for necessary instructions to resolve them.

Petitioners say they are coming to Jana Vani after failing to get their issues resolved at various fora like Spandana and meeting top officials in the districts.

Interestingly, the state government officials are examining the petitions and communicating the resolution of grievances to Jana Sena representatives at periodical intervals.

Jana Vani programme in-charge and retired IAS officer Vara Prasad said, “We are happy that a good number of people are coming to our forum for grievance redressal. We are thankful to the state government for addressing the issues keeping politics away, as our common objective is to help people whose problems can be solved.”

Pawan Kalyan is continuing to receive petitions from people while on his Varahi Yatra of AP. Jana Vani has been held in Pithapuram and Kakinada, from where 35 and 80 petitions respectively have been received. Party’s Jana Vani representatives will be sending these petitions to the government for resolving them.
