Hyderabad: MPs, MLAs and MLCs have not been invited to Friday’s launch of the prestigious Kaleshwaram project on Friday. The usual practice for the government is to invite all MPs, MLAs and MLCs to major functions.
The government sends the invitations through the Assembly Secretariat. When they did not get the invitations in time, the MLAs began inquiring with the Assembly Secretariat. The officials informed them that they had not received any invitation from the government for distribution.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao usually asks TRS MLAs to attend functions conducted by the government. That was also missing this time.
A senior TRS leader said Mr Rao had informed them at the party meeting on Wednesday that the government was not inviting MLAs and others for security reasons. Mr Rao told them that they can visit the project later. Mr Rao asked the MLAs and party cadre to celebrate the function all over the state.
