Chennai: Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Friday said despite the DMK’s false propaganda through the media, people have proved that they could not be deceived by such Goebbelsian campaign by making the AIADMK victorious.
People have given a historic win which was achieved by party founder MGR, she said and asserted that the election results have proved that “I am with the people and people are with me”. The AIADMK government had implemented several welfare measures for the last five years and the poll victory is recognition for them, she said.
Even when explanations were given for the false allegations, the DMK repeated its imaginary charges. But, the people of Tamil Nadu very well know that AIADMK is the movement protecting the people, especially the poor, she said.
Expressing her heartfelt thanks to the people who have reposed faith in her, Jayalalithaa said she would show her gratitude by acting enthusiastically for people's welfare. She also thanked the party cadre, functionaries and alliance leaders who worked for AIADMK’s victory.
