Re-elect Prime Minister Narendra Modi for secure India: Amit Shah
Bengaluru: BJP national president Amit Shah has once again emphasised that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be elected for a second term to make India secure and give a befitting reply to Pakistan- sponsored terrorism in the country.
Mr Shah, who participated in a road show in Bhadravathi town on Saturday, was greeted with slogans of Modi , Modi by thousands of party workers. “Why should we elect Narendra Modi as Prime Minister again? To secure India and to give a fitting reply to terrorism and Pakistan,” he said, urging the people to vote for Shivamogga’s BJP candidate, B Y Raghavendra, who is banking on the Modi wave in the constituency besides the support of his father and state BJP chief, B.S. Yeddyurappa to be relected MP.
Mr. Yeddyurappa has been camping in the district for the past two days to campaign for his son and on Saturday addressed a public meeting at Thirthahalli along with former Chief Minister, S.M.Krishna.
The Congress is meanwhile, depending on water resources minister, D.K.Shivakumar to ensure the victory of Mr Madhu Bangarappa of the JD(S) in the constituency. Mr. Shivakumar was a diehard supporter of former Chief Minister S. Bangarappa, who first made him a minister and has continued to remain loyal to his family even after his death. He has vowed to make sure Mr Madhu Bangarappa wins in Shivamogga these elections and as part of the strategy has made truce between Bhadravathi Congress MLA, B.K. Sangameshwar and former JD(S) MLA, N. Appaji Gowda, who have not been on the best of terms and saw to it that they campaigned together in Bhadravathi.
