Mehbooba Mufti petrified of facing people: Omar Abdullah
Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday criticised Mehbooba Mufti government for recommending postponement of bypoll over law and order issue in Anantnag assembly seat, saying it only showed how much "petrified" she was of facing people.
In a series of tweets within minutes of the Election Commission announcing postponement of the bypoll, Omar said "in an admission of how bad the situation is under @mehbooba_mufti the Election commission has been forced to postpone Anantnag by-election."

"It's an admission both of how bad things have become under @mehbooba_mufti & how petrified she is of facing the people in the by-election," the National Conference leader tweeted.
Located in South Kashmir, Anantnag seat fell vacant after the death of the then state Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed on January 7.
The EC had announced bypoll to this seat along with eight other assembly seats on May 16.
The poll panel today said that fresh date will be announced later.
