Khammam: The CPM candidate from the Khammam Lok Sabha constituency said that there was a need for an alternative front against the TRS, Congress and the BJP at the Centre and state level.
Boda Venkat, who was involved in various agitations and was picked up by the CPM for the Khammam Lok Sabha, said that the TRS ruined all the democratic principles in the state. He added that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was not giving any weight to the civic rights of people.
“MLAs elected from opposition parties are being bought with crores of rupees and they are being offered contract works,” he alleged.
“There is corruption in every irrigation project and the cost escalation of the project is just for kickbacks,” he said, adding that the people should vote for left parties in the general elections.
The issues of the common man and the voice of the poor would be heard only by the members of the left parties, he said.
