Hyderabad: It looks like the ‘KTR era’ has begun in the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), as party working president K.T. Rama Rao has been given total responsibility for the party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
As a minister, he had shared responsibility for the recent Assembly elections with Chief Minister and TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao and former minister T. Harish Rao. But now, as TRS working president, he has been given total responsibility for the Lok Sabha campaign.
According to TRS sources, Mr Rama Rao played a key role in the selection of ministers in yesterday’s Cabinet expansion. It was he who informed the selected MLAs about their induction into the Cabinet. The party’s MLAs, leaders and others are giving more importance to Mr Rama Rao than his father and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
