Hyderabad: The first phase of panchayat elections will begin on Monday. A total of 3,701 panchayats will vote on Monday, wherein 12,202 candidates are contesting. The polling will begin from 7 am and will continue till 1 pm. The counting process for the same will begin from 2 pm.
The State Election Commission has completed all arrangements for the first phase of polls. The results will be announced by the evening. The same schedule will be followed in second and third phases which will be held on January 25 and January 30 respectively.
