Governor praises K Chandrasekhar Rao on Kaleshwaram project
KARIMNAGAR: Governor E.S.L Narasimhan said on Saturday that Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao should now on be called as ‘Kaleshwaram Chandrasekhar Rao’ for turning the dream of constructing the gigantic irrigation project into reality.
The Governor said the wonderful and rare project should be dedicated to the people of Telangana.
The Governor inspected the sixth package works at Dharmaram Medaram in Peddapalli and Laxmipur tunnel works in Ramadugu mandal in Karimnagar district. Along with his wife, the Governor performed a special pooja at the Kaleswharam temple. He also conducted an aerial inspection of the pump house works at Goliwada and Yellam-palli project. He expressed satisfaction over the pump house works at Annaram and Sundilla barrage.
Speaking to mediapersons at Laxmipur village in Ramadugu mandal, the Governor said he was overwhelmed with the ongoing construction work at Kaleshwaram in various places, including underground and tunnel works and expressed his happiness over the speed with which the works were progressing.
The Governor hoped that the first phase of project works would be completed by June or July with the blessing of Kaleshwara Muktesh-wara Swamy. He said that irrigation minister T. Harish Rao has become ‘Kaleshwar Rao’ by working and thinking about the project day and night. The Governor revealed that two years ago, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao had met him with a Powerpoint presentation on the Kaleshwaram project and explained how it would help the people of north Telan-gana. The Governor said that he thought that it was KCRs dream and now he feels that KCR would turn his dream into a reality.
He appreciated Mr harish for his commitment and special chief secretary S.K. Joshi and his team for the work.
