Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress core committee, which met here on Thursday, decided to hold protest meetings and flag marches in all municipalities of the state from Saturday to December 27 as part the AICC’s Bharat Bachao programme.
Placards of Telangana Bachao will also be part of this week-long programme. The core committee, chaired by TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, was attended by AICC observers, Congress legislative party leader Bhatti Vikramarka and senior party members. It chalked out a programme to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act and the NRC.
The committee decided to organise flag marches on December 28 from Gandhi Bhavan and all DCC offices in districts under the slogan ‘Save India, Save Constitution’ to expose the anti-people policies of the BJP.
At the same time, the party would expose the failures of TRS government, such as not initiating farm loan waivers, grant of unemployment allowance, non-implementation of Rythu Bandhu scheme, hike in RTC tariff, and so on.
