EVKS Elangovan, PCC chief blame game continue
Chennai: Former TNCC president E.V.K.S. Elangovan on Saturday disputed the contention of his successor S. Thirunavukkarasar that the latter's rejection of the demand for white paper on treatment to former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa is the official stand of Congress.
In a statement here, Elangovan asked if Thirunavukkarasar took the decision after convening the state working committee or consulted the issue with the high command representative Mukul Wasnik.
Referring to Thirunavukkarasar's remarks that he did not want a white paper since he had worked in Jayalalithaa's party, Elangovan asked if he would support demonetisation since he had also worked in BJP.
Reacting to Thirunavukkarasar's views that Elangovan is not mentally balanced, Elangovan also said Thirunavukkarasar is reiterating that he would have become the Chief Minister if he was in the AIADMK and asked if it was an opinion of a mentally stable person.
Replying to Elangovan's views that the demand for white paper on treatment on Jayalalithaa is the official stand of Congress, Thirunavukkarasar had said a mentally stable person would not say that the view of the TNCC leader is not the official view of the party.
Elangovan had earlier flayed Thirunavukkarasar for opposing DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin's support for the demand of PMK founder S. Ramadoss for a white paper on Jayalalithaa's treatment.
