Telangana Inti Party ready to campaign for Mahakutami
Hyderabad: The Telangana Inti Party, which left the Mahakutami following differences with the Congress over seat sharing, has announced that it was ready to campaign for the Opposition alliance for the December 7 state Assembly elections.
Speaking to mediapersons on Monday, party founder-president Cheruku Sudhakar said, “We are not against the Mahakutami. I have been admitted in hospital. Soon after I am discharged, I’m ready to campaign for the Mahakutami. We are wishing that the Congress which provided statehood to Telangana should form government in the state.”
He said that the Congress high command’s decision to nominate BC leader R. Krishnaiah from the Miryalaguda constituency had “made us happy. It would be nice if the same initiative was taken regarding our party too.”
After dropping out of the Mahakutami, saying they were not satisfied with the seat adjustment that was proposed by the Congress the Telangana Inti Party had announced fielding candidates for 28 constituencies.
