TD, Jana Sena Corporators Accuse GVMC of Favoring YSRC Leaders

Roads are being constructed around MP M.V.V.Satyanarayana\'s Kurmannapalem venture, MLA Vasupalli Ganesh\'s and K.K. Raju\'s properties

Visakhapatnam: TD and Jana Sena corporators have alleged that the GVMC has become a rubber stamp for YSRC leaders' properties. They claim that the council meeting held on Thursday was to ratify the construction of roads around the residences of YSRC leaders and at their real estate ventures at a cost of more than Rs 25 crore.

Jana Sena corporator P. Murthy Yadav said that the resolutions passed in yesterday's council meeting would benefit YSRC leaders, not the citizens of Vizag. He questioned what happened to the 160 crore that the state government released to GVMC for the G20 conference.

He also said that the GVMC was now saying that it would develop 18 major areas in the city with another Rs 160 crore, but that all the roads that GVMC was building were around the houses of YSRC leaders and their properties.

Roads are being constructed around MP M.V.V.Satyanarayana's Kurmannapalem venture, Vasupalli Ganesh MLA's properties and K.K. Raju's properties.

In addition, the TD and Jana Sena corporators highlighted that lights were not working in Visakhapatnam streets and that the drainage system of the city was very poor.
