Will support Amaravati farmers with rally: BJP leader

VISHAKHAPATNAM: Former floor leader in assembly and state BJP vice president P. Vishnu Kumar Raju announced that with the permission of central BJP leadership, the AP unit of the party will take out a procession in support of the padayatra by Amaravati farmers, who are on their way to Arasavilli temple in Srikakulam district.

Addressing a press conference in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday, Vishnu Kumar Raju said the BJP has decided to fully support Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. He strongly condemned the arrests of JS workers at the Visakhapatnam Airport on October 15.

The BJP leader said the attack on farmers’ rally by alleged YSRC members is unfortunate and condemned insulting of a woman farmer, who had been in the rally.

Stating that the police machinery in AP has collapsed, Vishnu Kumar sought protection to farmers in accordance with AP High Court orders.
