KTR questions Modi on job promise, scoffs at Kishan's protest for jobs in state

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of duping the country’s unemployed by promising to create two crore jobs annually.

Rama Rao was addressing a gathering at Telangana Bhavan, where BJP’s Bhadradri Kothagudem district chief Koneru Chinna Satyanarayana and his followers joined the BRS.

Addressing the gathering, Rama Rao alleged that the BJP was indulging in religious politics to secure its vote bank. The leaders and cadre, who are unable to continue with BJP, chose to join the BRS in Telangana, he said.

Rama Rao said that the BJP government at the Centre deliberately merged five mandals from Telangana with Andhra Pradesh, by violating the law. The BJP promised to set up the Bayyaram steel plant but failed.

“The Prime Minister, who failed to provide jobs to youth, took decisions to privatise public utilities by creating confusion among government employees on job security. Interestingly, Union minister and BJP state chief G. Kishan Reddy stages protest seeking jobs for youth in Telangana,” Rama Rao said.

Rama Rao accused the Prime Minister of being partial to Adani by privatising government companies.
